The Douc langur, also known as the douc, is a genus of Old World monkeys found in Southeast Asia. There are three species within this genus: the red-shanked douc, the black-shanked douc, and the gray-shanked douc. These primates are known for their strikingly colorful appearance, with vivid facial markings and fur. Douc langurs are arboreal, primarily living in the forest canopy, and have a diet consisting mainly of leaves, fruits, and flowers. They are social animals, often seen in groups, and communicate using a variety of vocalizations.
