The gray fox is unique among canids in its ability to climb trees. They have strong, hooked claws that allow them to scramble up trees to avoid predators or to get fruit. The gray fox is mostly nocturnal and dens during the day in hollow trees. It is a solitary hunter and eats a wide variety of food including small mammals, birds, small invertebrates and some plants.
Economy replica skulls are designed to be more affordable while still serving as effective educational tools. They may lack some of the finer detailing found in regular skulls, such as open neural passages, and are made entirely from a single material—including the teeth—whereas Bone Clones' standard skulls use a different material for the teeth to better mimic the look and feel of real ones. Additionally, standard skulls are often lightly stained to resemble natural bone or match the original specimen, while Economy versions may have little to no staining.
