The Eurasian lynx is the largest of the lynx species. Native to forested regions of Europe and Asia, this carnivore feeds on a variety of small vertebrates such as hares, birds, and squirrels. Eurasian lynx are also capable of preying on larger mammals such as wild boar, young moose, and reindeer. This species is mainly nocturnal and can cover up to 12 miles a night searching for food.
